The last day...

I'm not going to lie to you, temping at Warner Brothers Studios may just be the very best job I've ever had. What's not to love? A desk (or office) all to myself. Printers, copiers, fax machine, countless office supplies, trades, magazines, a phone that rarely rings, pay of over $17 an hour, minimal work, awkward celebrity moments, a computer with word processing and Final Draft, and reams of paper on which to print manuscripts...

However, all good things come to an end, and today is the end of an era. It's perfect that today my temporary assignments end in the Marketing Department because they have been wonderful to me over the past three years (and, incidentally, are one of the only departments that actually WORKS).

I've worked for countless executives and departments and think that now, years after college, I have a pretty decent understand of how a studio is actually run. It's interesting, and I'll leave it at that.

Will I ever return? Who's to say...

But I want to thank Warners for their unknowing support of me as a writer. I would be fairly honest in saying that close to 80% of all my writing has happened on a AOL Time Warner owned computer.

Good Night and Good Luck.
