Saying Dubai...

Hey gang...sheesh, it's been a long time, and I really have no excuse for it.

So, I've got some exciting (non-book) news to share with you - I'm moving out of the country! Which country? The United Arab Emirates, more specifically, the city of Dubai. Me, Hubs, and the kitties have always wanted to experience work and life outside of the States and we couldn't be happier.

I don't expect this fact to really interrupt my writing or anything with this site, I just thought I would share this great news with you. The only thing my move will effect is my ability to sell signed copies of the book. So, if you are interested in one of those - you have until basically September 21st to get your order in via the website. Other than that, it should be life as usual...except that I'll be on a different continent.

Just to clarify a few things...

1. Dubai is perfectly safe!!! It is very Western and modern, and is home to both a Krispy Kreme and a Dunkin Donuts. Can any country with Munchkins be that bad?

2. The United Arab Emirates is on the Persian Gulf, near Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and yes, Iran (see 1) - it is not Brunei, Bahrain or in India.

3. No, I will not have to learn Arabic - most business is conducted in English. However, I'm sure we'll try and learn some phrases.
